Individual Therapy

Individualized support for adolescents (ages 5 and up) and adults. While I work with a variety of concerns, my primary areas of focus include:

  • Supporting clients navigating identity, racism, colorism, intergenerational conflict, and marginalization.

  • Helping first-gen individuals manage bicultural identity stress, family expectations, guilt, language barriers, and acculturation struggles.

  • Working with clients to process trauma passed down through family lines (e.g., from migration, systemic oppression, or family dynamics).

  • Therapy for women dealing with self-worth, gender-based violence, family/cultural pressure, reproductive issues, or life transitions.

  • Empowerment work with Latinas and women from collectivist cultures.

  • Using narrative, somatic, or attachment-based approaches to help clients heal from early childhood, family, or complex trauma.

  • Supporting individuals through identity exploration (cultural, gender, sexual, professional).

  • Helping clients move through major life changes like college, motherhood, career shifts, or grief.

  • Providing therapy in Spanish for monolingual or bilingual clients

  • Offering culturally sensitive therapy to Latinx families and individuals.

Couples Therapy

I help couples strengthen their relationships by fostering healthy communication, resolving conflict, addressing challenges in emotional and physical intimacy, and rebuilding trust. My work includes exploring dating patterns, supporting premarital and married couples, and working with LGBTQIA+ relationships.

  • Helping partners navigate cultural, religious, or language differences

  • Supporting first-gen or immigrant couples managing family expectations, role dynamics, or identity-based tension.

  • Working with couples impacted by immigration-related stress, acculturation gaps, or generational trauma.

  • Addressing loyalty conflicts, boundaries with extended family, or unspoken cultural rules.

  • Creating safe, culturally affirming spaces for Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and other POC couples to unpack race, privilege, colorism, and internalized oppression.

  • Helping partners heal from collective and individual trauma while strengthening emotional connection.

  • Supporting women in reclaiming voice, agency, and self-worth in their partnerships — especially in traditional or patriarchal relationship dynamics.

  • Empowering Latina women navigating machismo, gender roles, or generational expectations.

  • Helping couples understand how trauma (personal or ancestral) impacts attachment, intimacy, trust, and communication.

  • Using somatic, emotionally focused (EFT), or narrative therapy approaches to foster healing together.

  • Working with queer, trans, and non-binary couples in navigating identity, family acceptance, cultural/religious stigma, and relationship roles.

  • Offering culturally sensitive support that respects intersectional identities.

  • Exploring dating patterns, values, expectations, and attachment styles.

  • Supporting couples in preparation for marriage, particularly those from collectivist cultures or with differing family traditions.

Family Therapy

Supporting Spanish-speaking and multicultural families by using family systems modalities as they navigate parenting challenges, blended family dynamics, and intergenerational conflict. My approach honors cultural values, promotes emotional well-being, and helps strengthen relationships across generations:

  • Supporting families adjusting to life in a new country, navigating acculturation stress, language barriers, and cultural identity conflicts.

  • Bridging generational gaps between immigrant parents and U.S.-raised children.

  • Helping families understand and heal from intergenerational trauma, such as migration trauma, poverty, family separation, or systemic oppression.

  • Unpacking how cultural expectations, silence around mental health, or survival strategies impact current relationships.

  • Addressing the impact of racism, discrimination, and marginalization on family functioning and self-worth

  • Supporting women in reclaiming agency in family roles (e.g., mother, daughter, partner) within patriarchal or traditional structures.

  • Exploring boundaries, emotional labor, and gender roles in culturally sensitive ways.

  • Helping parents and children improve communication, especially in families where generational values clash (e.g., collectivist vs. individualist values).

  • Addressing emotional disconnection, parental expectations, and autonomy struggles

  • Offering bilingual therapy that allows monolingual Spanish-speaking family members to feel heard and included

  • Providing culturally responsive care rooted in shared language and cultural values.

  • Working with families affected by abuse, loss, or domestic violence.

  • Supporting collective healing while also respecting individual experiences within the family system.
